Hosting Solutions
Our hosting solutions, are broken down into four major categories (all solutions can be managed and un-managed):
- Virtual Private Servers (VPS) - Our Virtual Private Servers are run on Enterprise class hardware, and can be a flavor of linux (Cent OS, Ubuntu) or Windows (Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server)
- Dedicated Server - A dedicated server is for somebody that is looking for a physical machine, but does not want to have to purchase it, install an OS on it, and just wants it to be available.
- CoLocation Servers - Are for when you already have the physical hardware but want to host it in a first class infrastructure.
- Shared Servers - Shared Servers are accounts on another box, it you don't have a large requirement for Disk Space, CPU, or Network then shared solution might be for you.
Managed vs Un-Managed Hosting
What are the differences between managed and un-managed hosting? Well the main difference is that in un-managed hosting scenario, you the customer is responsible for the machine working, and we the data center provide the power and the pipe (Internet connection). In a managed scenario our team of administrators are there to make whatever changes are necessary to your configurations, etc. meaning the customer does not need to have specific expertise in the administration of the system.
